About Joelle Emerson
As the Founder and CEO of Paradigm, Joelle partners with leaders of some of the world’s most exciting and innovative companies to design data-driven diversity and inclusion strategies. She then work swith stakeholders across organizations — from recruiting and HR to communications and policy — to bring these strategies to life.
Before founding Paradigm she was a women’s rights employment lawyer. As a Skadden Fellow at Equal Rights Advocates, she represented women in gender discrimination and sexual harassment litigation, and she advocated for and drafted local, state, and federal policies to ensure equal pay and other workplace protections for women. After working on these issues from a legal angle, she was inspired to found Paradigm to bring effective tools and strategies to companies committed to building stronger, more inclusive organizations.
